MANDATORY TOOLS FOR ALL CALLS:
- A 16 oz. Hammer or heavier
- An adjustable wrench, 8 inches or longer
- Straight blade screwdrivers with tips of 1/8, 1/4 and 3/16 inch
- Philips head screwdrivers with #1 and #2 tips
- Work gloves
- A pocket or razor knife
- Flashlight
- Tape measure, 25' or longer
- A tool belt and/or apron
- Rigging or safefty harness (Riggers only)
- Drop line at least 75' long Riggers only)
- Carabiners (Riggers only)
- One 2-foot, and one 4-foot sling (Riggers only)
- Slip-joit, linesman, and/or channel lock pliers
- Diagonal wire cutters
- Allen (hex) wrench set
- Ratchet and socket set
- Pencil
Additional note:
It is also recommended that you keep all-weather gear, such as hats, rain-proof jackets, etc. in your car. You never know when you will be working outside in the rain. Sunblock and hats with visors are useful for working outside.
Note that some calls require Show Blacks and it's recommended that you keep a clean set in your car. Show blacks should include: a black, long-sleeved shirt, long black pants and black shoes and socks. Shirts should be logo-free, although a small Local 927 or other IATSE emblem is acceptable.
